Galaxy S22 Ultra marketing materials appear to confirm key specs

We saw the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ leak in official-looking marketing materials yesterday, confirming key specs for Samsung’s upcoming flagship duo. The leak came from none other than Evan Blass a.k.a leaks. Of course, the ultra-A reliable tipster also has access to Galaxy S22 Ultra marketing materials. He has now distributed them via email.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 series has been leaked a lot over the past few months. The leaks have been so detailed that there isn’t much left for the imagination. The latest leak confirms what we’ve been hearing all along.

Galaxy S22 Ultra key specs confirmed

Starting from the front, the Galaxy S22 Ultra sports a 6.8-inch curved display, which is a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with QHD+ (3080×1440 pixels) resolution and 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. screen can go up to 1,750 nits of peak brightness.

Samsung is equipping the Galaxy S22 Ultra with its 4nm Exynos 2200 processor in the country, and possibly across Europe. But in markets like the US, China, and South Korea, the device will likely ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It should, however, get up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage globally.

The cameras include a 108-megapixel f/1.8 main shooter with OIS (optical image stabilization), PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and laser autofocus. It comes with a 12-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide lens and two 10-megapixel zoom cameras with an f/2.4 and f/4.9 aperture, offering 3X and 10X optical zoom, respectively. . The device can, however, offer 100X digital zoom, which Samsung calls Space Zoom. The Korean brand claims that the rear cameras are covered in super clear glass to reduce glare. For selfies and video calls, we have a 40-megapixel f/2.2 camera on the front.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra can record 8K video with Samsung promising improved stabilization from higher quality footage. The company is also teasing “revolutionary” improvements in low-light photography.

Don’t expect a charger in the box

The Galaxy S22 Ultra packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. Samsung advertises a 0-100% charge in less than an hour. However, you do not receive the charging adapter in the retail box. So if you don’t already have a 45W charger in your drawer, you’ll have to shell out a few extra bucks to get one. Or maybe use a less powerful load, the choice is yours.

Other Galaxy S22 Ultra highlights include an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, Android 12, 5G cellular connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, IP68 rating, Wireless PowerShare, S Pen support and DeX support. The set will measure 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9 (including the camera bump) and is said to weigh 227 grams (0.50 pounds).

Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy S22 series at its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on February 9. The event will also see the Galaxy Tab S8 series of the company’s flagship Android tablets come off the cover. In other words, a lot of things are coming from the Korean giant in about a week.
