MoCo Economic Development Corp. launches a new marketing campaign

The Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation is launching a new integrated marketing campaign designed to attract new businesses and retain existing businesses in the county.

The year-long effort will include strategic placement across various channels, including national and local broadcast programming, billboards, radio, podcasts and digital (programming, Linkedin, YouTube, Google, video ads and trade publications).

Known as the “Be Next” campaign, it targets minority and women-owned small businesses, as well as companies in the life sciences, technology, real estate, hospitality sectors. and non-profit organizations.

The campaign will focus on markets such as the rest of Maryland, Virginia, DC, Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey and Boston.

“We are thrilled to launch this campaign and show businesses of all industries and sizes that Montgomery County is the place where they can ‘be next’ and thrive,” said Bill Tompkins, President and CEO of MCEDC. “We have developed an environment in which companies can create something remarkable and revolutionary, and this campaign is designed to shine a light on the thousands of innovators who have done this and more, and empower those who are waiting to do their part. Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich said his county is a good destination for business, but efforts need to be made to get the word out about it.
